Sailing Pictures & A Question

Good morning!!

So last night at race committee I was on the signals boat doing flags and finishes while Kathy was on the mark boat helping set the course. I wanted to get pictures of the mark boat to show you guys because I love that boat. Last week when I was on it I got to drive most of the night. It was SO MUCH FUN.

Kathy driving the mark boat!

I also took another picture of my nails because it was sunny for awhile!

I've just got a few more pictures of the boats racing.

These are Etchells crossing the finish line.

Mkay, picture time is over now.

I've got a question for you guys though. I have no idea how I should do my nails for the concert this weekend. Any ideas? Let me know!

Edit: I figured I should add this after Susie commented. I have absolutely no idea what I'm wearing either. I'm horrible at deciding what to wear. I may ask my sisters later what they think.

Towel Boy Toy

So after three days I finally took off Who The Shrek Are You? I didn't really want to, I loveee that polish. I will probably be wearing it again soon. Anyways, I decided to try CG Towel Boy Toy. I've had it for awhile but hadn't tried it yet. I decided to after I saw Sarah post about it the other day. I really like this polish because it's so bright and cheery and BLUE! I love blues. So, in these pictures I haven't done much cleanup yet.. My hands look kind of awful.

Isn't my cell phone case awesome?

I felt like adding something to it, so here it is with some konad.

So yesterday I went with Kathy, my sisters, Brittany, and Britt's friend Kayley to go see Letters To Juliet. I loved that movie. Britt and Kayley thought it was a silly girly movie I guess. Those are my favorite kinds of movies, haha. It's probably one I will buy when it comes out on DVD. Psh, what am I talking about, it is definitely one I will buy on DVD.

I will try to post again this week but I'm going to be kind of busy. I've got a busy day Friday, I've got an appointment and then I have to go to this guy John's house, his daughter wants me to come over and do her nails. Then of course Saturday is TOM PETTY so I will be gone and I won't be home until Sunday sometime. I'll try to get a post in Friday morning before I go into town.

Have a good day everyone!

Neon Water Marble (Lots of pictures)

Hello! I'm moving kind of slow today. I feel like a lazy bum. I didn't get up until 11. Well, I got up at 6 to let the dogs out and feed them. Then I didn't get back up until 11. After that I got up and made chocolate chip cookies to bring to the yacht club tonight. I'm hoping my auntie will be there, she's back from Michigan after being gone for a month. I've missed her so much.

OOH HOW EXCITING. My dad sent me another Great Big Sea cd and it just got here!! YAY.

Anyways, on to nail polish! I tried water marbling for the second time yesterday. To see my first attempt click here. This time water marbling it didn't turn out as well. I still like it though. I used China Glaze Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, Sun Worshipper, and Color Club Koo Koo Cachoo.

Wow, that's a lot of pictures. So, on my left middle finger and right index finger it looks like there are black marks on my nails. That is from my hair dye. I really missed my purple hair. I had blonde and purple hair 8th - 10th grade. I have it again now, just not as much purple as before. Anyways, I keep tucking my hair behind my ears and it's getting on my nails. It's kind of annoying.

I figured I would post a picture with my purple hair. I really hate pictures of myself, I'm very self conscious but oh well!

Well, Im off to watch NCIS now! :D Have a good Friday everbody!

Cinderella Nails

So, I believe I've said before I love old Disney movies. Cinderella is of course one of them and I was thinking of Cinderella when I did these.

The picture is pre cleanup. Oh and I had to shorten my nails ]: Anyways, I used China Glaze Frostbite as a base. On my thumb, index, middle, and pinky fingers I used NYC Starry Silver Glitter. On my ring fingers I used Nicole By OPI Positive Energy to stamp with and then layered Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Disco Ball over that.

I've got race committee in a couple hours. It looks gross outside though. I'm not thrilled with the weather we've been having. It's JUNE! I want summer weather!

I've got to get off the computer now. Thanks for reading!

Neon Palm Tree

Hey everybody. I'm sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I did these Tuesday night and didn't have good light to take pictures. Then most of yesterday I was gone. I almost forgot to take pictures, I happened to remember when I was on the dock about to get on the committee boat. I had my camera with me so I took pictures there!

I did neon palm trees like Kathy had wanted me to. I used China Glaze Pool Party and Kiwi Cool-ada.

I just love the Poolside collection so much. It's beyond awesome in my opinion.

My head is hurting badly so I'm keeping this post short. Thanks for reading!

Opening Day Pictures and Kathy's Nails!

Hi everyone!! I'm very sleepy but I wanted to post today so here I am!

I've had a good couple of days. Friday night was nice, I saw STEVE! He is part of my adopted family, I just am not sure what he is. I never really started calling him anything.. Maybe he should be an adopted grandpa. Anyways, I hadn't seen him since September, he has been in Mexico, and he came back just for Opening Day. So I saw him Friday and yesterday. Every time I saw him I gave him a hug, because who knows when he will be able to come back again and also because I just love hugs.

I also got to see my mom-for-a-day Michele (aka M1), uncle Neil, and my favorite auntie and uncle, Michele (M2) and Bart. I got SO MANY HUGS. It cheered me up. This is why I LOVE yacht club stuff.

We got there around 11 in the morning, and I visited with people until 12. The ceremony and blessing of the fleet was at 12, and that part really bores me, so Kathy and I went down to the boat and I did her nails! I remembered something Linnie from Linnie's Favorites did awhile back that I loved and wanted to try. Check it out here.

Kathy couldn't decide whether she wanted that or palm trees so we had mom-for-a-day Michele pick. She chose the neon rainbow.

I used the CG Poolside polishes for this. Everybody kept stopping her when she was down on the pirate barge I think because they wanted to see her nails. And when we were hanging out on Michele and Neil's boat everyone kept commenting on how bright they were. I did M1's nails too, she wanted hers just like mine. She asked me Friday night if I would do hers on Saturday so I brought some of my stuff with me to the harbor. Uncle Bart made fun of me because I was standing there just guarding it before I got on the boat. He was all "it's just nail polish." Psh. He just doesn't get it.

I know this is a really long post, but I just want to post a few pictures of some of the boats from the parade.

Boats in front of ours in the parade.

Boats behind us in the parade.

The fire boat! It comes out for the parade.

Michele (M1) and Neil's boat. They were the lead boat yesterday.

Last picture! This is Steve's boat. I think it looks really cool.

Sorry for the really long post, but I love telling people about yacht club stuff and sharing my pictures.

I hope you're all having a good weekend!

Opening Day Nails!

Hey everyone! I meant to post yesterday, I did some swatches of some of the Poolside polishes, and of a couple other new ones I got. Except I was watching Blackadder and so they are really messy. I might still post them on Sunday though.

Here are my nails I just finished for Opening Day! I used China Glaze Liquid Leather, China Glaze Medallion, and Nicole by OPI Positive Energy. Oh, and konad plate M28 I believe. I haven't cleaned them up yet though, so you're warned.

I'm still not too good at konading, but I think these turned out pretty well. I layered Medallion over one coat of Positive Energy on all but my ring fingers. On my ring fingers I forget how many coats of Liquid Leather I used, then I used Positive Energy to stamp on the skulls. I had tried using the special white konad polish but it WOULD NOT WORK. The first time I tried Positive Energy it worked great so I used that instead. Yay!

I'm very excited for tonight and tomorrow. In a couple hours I'm going down to the yacht club for Fridays @ 5. I can't wait to see how the boats have been decorated and to see my people. Then tomorrow of course is Opening Day! I guess we aren't taking our boat out for the parade, which is LAME. So I'm going to see if I can go out on Michele and Neil's boat. Fun stuff.

So I'll be gone until Sunday I think. Last year I actually hung out on the boat all day Sunday too so I don't really know. Hopefully it doesn't rain tomorrow like it has the last couple of Opening Days. I've got my fingers crossed!

Have a good weekend everybody, thanks for reading!

More Neons!

I am just loving the Poolside collection. I knew I would though, neons are my favorite. Today I've got on Yellow Polka Dot Bikini with Kiwi Cool-Ada polka dots. I love how bright it is.

This first picture is blurry but I think it looks really cool.

I was watching Blackadder while I was doing my nails and I wasn't paying attention at first.. So I really could've made room for more polka dots on my pinky but oh well.

Hope you're all having a good day, thank you for reading!!

China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy

Hiiii everyone!

So today has been a good day. First of all, I got my China Glaze Poolside collection today! I also got Color Club Koo Koo Cachoo and the konad plate M28 in the mail today. YAY. Now I know exactly what I'm going to do for my Opening Day nails.

I just put on Flip Flop Fantasy. I lovelovelove how bright this is. I did it over 2 coats of Sally Hansen Sheer Romance Natural White.

The other good thing that happened today is I found out that Great Big Sea will be coming to Seattle in July!! I'm buying tickets for Kathy and I tomorrow hopefully. I'm so excited, this is going to be my 4th Great Big Sea concert!! I'm sure you all by now how much I love this band.

Great Big Sea at the Moore Theatre in Seattle in October 08.

Here is one of their videos. I just have to share it because lately this has been my favorite song. It's called Ordinary Day. I don't know if anybody has noticed the quote up on the header of my blog, but it's lyrics from this song.

Oh, I've got one more thing. Thank you to everybody who commented on my last two posts, you guys are so sweet. I'm so glad I started blogging and met you all.

EDIT: I actually have something else that just happened that has made me happy. My uncle Neil just posted pictures of the his wedding to my mommy-for-a-day Michele in Hawaii! That's why my auntie (also named Michele) is there right now. I went "awhhh!" really loudly when I saw the pictures were posted and if anybody in my house heard me they might think I'm insane.

Thanks for reading!

Purple Panic Frostbite Heartbreaker

Hey everybody. Quick post this morning, I'm leaving to go ice skating soon. Today is going to be busy again, yay Wednesdays! Ice skating, Starbucks, lunch, accounting, and race committee. It doesn't look like committee will be much fun tonight though. And my favorite auntie is gone in Hawaii for 10 days. I've gotten used to seeing her every Wednesday! It's just so sad. Oh well.

Today I've got on China Glaze Purple Panic and I used China Glaze Frostbite to add a few dots. Finally, I layered Pure Ice Heartbreaker on top. My pinky smeared as you can see, I was being impatient. And they've already gotten beat up a bit because I had to do the dishes. And then I made cookies and had to do more dishes.

Have a good day you guys, thanks for reading!

A Little Nail Art

Hello everybody!!

So yesterday I wanted to a little bit of nail art but my head hurt and I couldn't think of anything so I googled it and found this. I liked it and it was simple so yay. I changed it a bit though. I used Sinful Colors Tokyo Pearl, Sinful Colors Whats Your Name, and China Glaze Beauty and the Beach.

I really like how it turned out!! I managed to mess up both my thumbs when I finished though and by then my head was hurting so badly I didn't feel like redoing them. Instead I curled up and watched NCIS.

Other news - I have 50 followers now!! That is so exciting, thank you all! I want to have a giveaway at some point, but I don't have a job really and any money I get usually gets spent on gas. I'm hoping I can have one kind of soon though!

I hope you all have a good day, thanks for reading!

China Glaze Let's Groove & Cover Girl City Lights

So, yesterday I saw Little Music Boxes' holographic top coat comparison post. Out of the 5 she used, I have one. Cover Girl City Lights. She did her comparison with 1 coat over a coat of black polish. I chose to do a couple coats of City Lights over 2 coats of Let's Groove.

I haven't done any cleanup yet, sorry.

Blurry, but look how sparkly! AH! I love it!

Tomorrow I'm going to Seattle with my mom, Kathy, my sister, and one of my sister's friends. My sister is going to go find a prom dress. I'm just going because I love Seattle.. and YAY Kathy is coming too! Like I've said many times, Kathy is an AMAZING friend. I'm still really excited that she is back.

Hope everybody has had a good day, thanks for reading!

First Water Marble Attempt

So I used lots of polishes for this. I used Sally Hansen Sheer Romance Natural White as a base and used China Glaze Let's Groove, China Glaze Purple Panic, and Sinful Colors Tokyo Pearl to marble with. Then I still wanted more so I layered Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Disco Ball on top.

My camera is about to die so the pictures are blurry.

OPI Chick Flick Cherry & China Glaze Liquid Leather

Nothing really exciting today. I did these around 10 last night and then went to bed. I've got a horrible headache today like usual, so this might be a short post. Anyways, I wanted more than just one color so I added black polka dots to Chick Flick Cherry. I love this red, my auntie Michele gave it to me. I've been lazy and still haven't done any clean up though.

So my best friend Kathy is now on a plane headed to France. I miss her already!! I just do not know what I will do with her gone for 10 days. I kind of vent to her about everything. And we are always texting Friends quotes to each other, it's a fun game. At the ice rink this morning my auntie told me I could text her while Kathy is gone. She's so sweet. She also said I should stop by the yacht club on Friday night because she is going to be there with my favorite uncle. YAY! I haven't seen him since New Years, and I've really missed him and wanted an uncda hug. I think it was Kathy who made up uncda... uncle/dad. Haha. Anyways. I'm excited.

Have a good day you guys, thanks for reading!!

China Glaze Thunderbird

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. The last couple days were busy. First was my sister's 16th birthday, then yesterday I hung out with Kathy. She is going to France for 10 days and she is leaving on Wednesday. I did paint my nails before I went to her house, but I was in a hurry and right when I was about to put on a top coat my mom yelled at me that it was time to go.. I was going to finish at Kathy's house but of course the dogs decided to trip me and so my nails got all bashed up before I even got in the car. LAME. But I figured I would post a picture anyway because I haven't in 3 days. Sorry they look awful!

See, they are scratched up and dented and chipped already. Ugh. And I would redo them now but I was doing accounting for my stepdad's business for the last hour after running errands with mom today and soon I am going to go to the movies with Kathy and Britt. Soo yeah. I'll have to wait until tonight or tomorrow.

So Friday afternoon I had that appointment. I had no idea who it was with or what, my mom just decided I should go see this guy she's been seeing. Apparently he's good at figuring out different symptoms or something? I don't know. His card he gave me with my appointment next week said he's a mental health counselor or something. Anyway.. He was really nice. He thinks stress definitely has something to do with my headaches.. and he says that I have depression, but not so bad that he is going to put me on meds. I talked to him about a lot of the crap that has gone on since I was kid. I kind of cried a lot. I didn't expect that. But oh man, it was great to just get some of it out, like I do on here. So I'm going back Friday morning.

I'll have a nail post tomorrow, and one with nice looking nails, I promise! Haha.

Have a good day everyone, thanks for reading.

My St. Patrick's Nails!

I'm posting these a bit early but I'm probably going to be gone tomorrow for at least half the day and then I think I am making cookies. So you get to see them now instead. I ended up doing something a little bit different from what I originally had planned.. and of course they didn't turn out as well as in my head. But I still really like them. Hopefully they last at least until I go ice skating on Wednesday. A lot of the skaters always want to see what I've done with my nails each week, haha.

I used Sally Hansen Sheer Romance Natural White, China Glaze In The Lime Light, China Glaze Liquid Leather, and China Glaze Medallion. Oh and I added a few orange rhinestones.

The pot of gold didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped but oh well!

The shamrock bracelet my little sister got me last summer.

Shamrock earrings Britt's mom got me.

Finally, these are the St. Patrick's Day socks Britt's mom got me! Yay socks.

I want to say THANK YOU to all of you that left me comments yesterday. They were all really sweet and I really appreciate it. I'm so glad I started this blog, you are all so great! :D I'm feeling a bit better today and I'm thinking that I will talk to my grandma when I spend the day with her Wednesday. If I can get up the courage. But something has to change and I am determined to find a way! Go me! Hah.

Well, I need to go make some lunch. Have a good day you guys!

China Glaze Cruisin' & Liquid Leather

Hi everyone!!

Today I attempted to do tiger striped nails using China Glaze Cruisin' and Liquid Leather. I don't think they look very good. My sisters said they looked cool though. They look a lot better from far away in my opinion. Haha.

Anyway, here are the pictures. I haven't done any cleanup yet though.

Watcha think?

China Glaze Beauty & The Beach

So today I have China Glaze Beauty & The Beach. I love the name of this polish! It's part of why I picked it. It is also one of my favorite colors. So pretty much, I think it is perfect! I did my nails last night while I was watching The Holiday. It's one of my favorite movies. After that I ended up watching The Blues Brothers, which is my ALL TIME favorite movie. Except I fell asleep in the middle of it. Haha. Oh well. Tonight I will probably end up watching Young Guns again. I still don't know why I love that movie, because it makes me sad and mad.

I should stop rambling about movies and get on to the pictures :P

This morning I was a little bored and decided to try something I saw on another blog a month or so ago. I'm really sorry, I can't remember whose blog it was I saw it on!! I had forgotten about it until today, it just popped back into my head! Anyway, I added Art Deco Silver Glitter. I've almost used all of my silver glitter, I'm going to have to go buy more.

I've got a headache again today. I have had one every day this week. Its been awful, but I'm used to them.

OH OH OH! I just remembered that I now have 30 followers! That is so exciting for me, thank you all so much :D

Have a good day everybody!

China Glaze In The Lime Light

Hellooo! I don't feel like taking off what I did yesterday so instead I am posting what I was originally going to wear on my birthday!

I had wanted to wear China Glaze In The Lime Light with some glitter on top but it started chipping Wednesday night. I never got the chance to add the glitter. I was at my stepdad's graduation from his captains course thingy on Wednesday and they made all the people who took the course go around and introduce themselves and their family and when I was introduced some lady there told me she loved my nails! Which I did too, I absolutely love neons.

That was the glitter I had wanted to put over it but it chipped before I had the time. Sad!

I think I will be wearing this again for St. Patricks Day. I got an awesome pair of bright green striped socks on my birthday and I'm wearing those too. I also got some shamrock earrings. Yay!

Hope you are all having a good day! It's beautiful outside here.
"Im all, I'm all, I'm alright. It's a beautiful day, not a cloud in sight so I guess I'm doing alright."
I've kind of listened to that song a lot today, haha.
