Hydrangea Kiss & Dust

Happy New Year everybody!! I hope everyone had a good time. Sunday night I was all excited for New Years.. I was determined to not spend the night sitting at home, I promised my roommate we would go somewhere. I'm not a party person, usually on New Year's Eve I go to a small gathering at my aunt's house. She didn't do that this year though so I wasn't sure what to do. Last night, when my roommate got home from work, I didn't have the will to do anything. All I wanted to do was lay on my couch, eat popcorn from my new movie theatre popcorn maker, and watch That 70's Show on netflix. Buuut she insisted we go somewhere. So we went down to my friend's boat. It's actually my parent's old sailboat, that I've posted many pictures of before. Anyway, my friend is living on it now and in the process of buying it from my parents. We hung out there for an hour, but ended up going home just because the other people there weren't people we really wanted to hang out with. Not a very thrilling night! But still, I was out of the house for a little bit!

That is my best friend/roommate on the left. I'm on the right. Just sitting around on the boat. On to my nails! I used two coats of Color Club Hydrangea Kiss first. I freaking love this color. Buuut I wanted a little bit of sparkle so I added 1 coat of Urban Outfitters Dust to it. I got that one in my stocking on Christmas and figured I should try it.

I apologize, my nails aren't in very good shape right now. I'm constantly bashing them and breaking them at work. It's quite sad. But I'm really diggin' this combo. I'm not one for New Year's Resolutions, but I really am going to try to get my blog going again this year. Might attempt to be more social too, but I'm not sure about that one yet. We'll see!

I Think I'm Coming Back!

Hey everyone! I know it's been months since I posted. I just kind of disappeared, sorry about that. I didn't have a working camera and I hate using iPhone pictures. Anyway, my parents gave me a new camera for Christmas. A Canon Rebel T3. I loveeee it. So, I'm hoping to start blogging again! Although not as often, I'll probably only be able to post once or twice a week. I don't have as much free time.. Especially since I got a kitten last week. He makes it really hard to focus on anything for more then a few minutes. He's very playful. Unless he's asleep but he usually sleeps on me. So I still can't paint my nails even if he's napping. Everyone, meet Little Joe!

I'm a weirdo and I named him after Little Joe Cartwright from the show Bonanza.

He's really hyper, purrs constantly unless he's asleep and he drives me insane. I love him though. He's a little sweetheart. So hopefully I will be finding time to paint my nails soon, and get used to my new camera and get my blog active again! Although expect lots of pictures of Little Joe as well as pictures of polish.

Opinions Needed! Help Me Pick a Polish!

Okay guys. I know I haven't posted in awhile, I STILL haven't found the cord to charge my camera ]: BUT I have a question for you all. Yesterday my mom bought me these shoes as a birthday present. They're to wear to a dance at the yacht club in a few weeks.

Any suggestions for which polish I should wear with them? I have some ideas but I like hearing other peoples' opinions.

Island Girl Waikiki Dream with OPI Skull & Gloss Bones

Happy Friday!! I've had a pretty nice day. I got up and went ice skating with my grandma and uncle. My dad was supposed to come visit with my stepmom and little brother but they had to bail. So I ended up coming home and making cupcakes! We have a potluck at the yacht club almost every other Friday and tonight is one of the potlucks. It's supposed to be a Valentines themed one I think. So I made some pink cupcakes. It was fun.

Anyways, on to my mani!

I apologize for the crappy cell phone pictures. My camera is dead and I can't seem to find the charger.

On my thumbs, pointer fingers and pinkies I used 2 coats of Island Girl Waikiki Dream. On my ring and middle fingers I used 2 coats of OPI Skull & Glossbones. Then I used Waikiki Dream again to add the polka dots. I NEVER get tired of polka dotted nails. Never ever. I really like these two polishes together by the way!! Probably because purple and gray are two of my favorite colors.

China Glaze Cowgirl Up & A England Holy Grail

Hey everyone! I'm trying to stick with my blog [: I tore about my room looking for my camera cord so I could share pictures with you of my current mani!

I was inspired by this manicure Stephanie of Short'n Chic did last week. I chose very different colors but I still like it!

I've had ChG Cowgirl Up for quite awhile now. I believe it is one of the polishes my mom gave me for Christmas a couple years back. I don't wear it often, but I thought it might look pretty with A England Holy Grail. By the way, I never thought I would wear gold polish. I usually hate anything gold. I'm going to be honest, I only bought Holy Grail for the name. I'm silly that way. It makes me think of Monty Python. Anyways, I'm really glad I bought it because I love it. I've only had it for maybe 3 weeks and I've worn it quite a few times.

What do you think?

OPI Mad As A Hatter

I'm back! Well, maybe. I've been thinking about returning to blogging. The last few months I haven't really been myself. I even stopped painting my nails for a little while. That didn't stop me from buying polish though, or from reading other nail blogs. :D Anyways, I've gotten back into polish in the last couple weeks and there have been a few manis that I've REALLY wanted to share. So I think I'm going to try to ease back into blogging.

So, this is a mani from back in the summer, but I love this polish. OPI Mad As A Hatter is one of my favorites. I love all the colors in it! I've only worn it twice though. I don't want to go through it too quickly since I won't be able to get another bottle.

Anybody else have MAAH? What do you think of it?

Polish Storage

Hi! So.. as I'm sure you all know, I'm not really blogging anymore. I just moved and I don't have internet at my new place. I'm posting this from my parents' house. I'm there for dinner tonight. Anyway, just thought I would share this picture of some of my new polish storage. These shelves were there at my new place in the living room and I LOVE them. I'm not sure how many polishes there are on there, but the rest are in my helmer.

Anyway, I might occasionally post if I have internet, but I doubt it. Thanks to everyone who stuck around with me this last year and a half!
